Premature ejaculation. Epidemiology

Premature ejaculation means that it is impossible for you to have longer sex. It is known to be a dominating sexual dysfunction which means that a large quantity of men only dreams to have longer sex. There are some problems with prevalence estimation as men usually have difficulties with confessing that they do not have longer sex and some of men may not even know that they have this medical condition. Nevertheless, It has been estimated that 20-30% of men have premature ejaculation thus having problems with maintaining longer sex.

Premature ejaculation may happen at any age and is world-wide. That means that man in every country is unable to have longer sex.

There exist two types of premature ejaculation – primary and secondary. Primary premature ejaculation means that a man has had problems with having longer sex since his first sexual intercourse. Secondary premature ejaculation means that a man did not suffer from premature ejaculation from the beginning of his sexual life but started experiencing difficulties with having longer sex at some point of his life unexpectedly and without any known reason.

Premature ejaculation is a physical condition but it also has effect on psychology and often results in stress, embarrassment, worry, guilt and anger.
